The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR), a student-run organization at Harvard University, extends a special invitation for your students to participate in the HPAIR 2009 Conferences. For almost 20 years, HPAIR has organized the largest Harvard student-run academic and business conferences at Harvard and in Asia annually. We draw approximately 700 undergrad, graduate, and working professional delegates from top institutions around the world, in addition to professors from the Harvard Business School and leaders of various corporations around Asia.
This year, HPAIR will have three conferences?the Harvard Conference in February 2009, the Academic Conference in Seoul, Korea in August 2009, and the Business Conference in Tokyo, Japan also in August 2009. Our goal is to offer a rigorous academic program and continuous forum of exchange to facilitate discussion about the most important issues relevant to the Asia-Pacific region.The first of the series of exciting conferences this year is the HPAIR Harvard Conference "Linking Minds: Challenges in 21st Century Asia." Covering topics spanning development, globalization, public health, international relations, and cultural transformations, the Harvard Conference will invite both domestic and international student delegates, as well as Harvard students to engage in thoughtful conversations regarding critical issues affecting Asia and the world today. Preeminent speakers from Harvard University and beyond will guide discussions and workshops.
Faced with many more talented and highly qualified institutions than it had room to invite, the HPAIR took great care to choose institutions with exceptional prestige as well as unusual academic excellence. The Committee is convinced that delegates from Yonsei University will make important contributions during HPAIR conferences, and we are eager to hear your unique perspectives and opinions about Asia and the world today.On behalf of the HPAIR Organizing Committee, the Public Relations team sincerely wishes students from you institution will join us at Harvard this February and in Asia this summer. Starting in 1991, Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations has organized the largest annual student conferences in the Asia Pacific Region. In 2008, HPAIR Harvard Conference became a new exciting addition to the already existing academic conference and business conference. The HPAIR Harvard Conference, to be held on Harvard's Campus in February 2009, brings together students, professors, and professionals to the Harvard campus for dialogue and exchange on topics spanning development, globalization, public health, and cultural transformations, among others.
