Office of Intl. Affairs
One of the key missions of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) is to ensure international students expand and deepen their academic horizons during their stay at Yonsei University. OIA assist exchange and visiting students with course registration for the regular fall/spring semester, and opens about 50 special courses tailored for study abroad students each semester. The Office also offers a wide range of courses, from East Asian Studies to Management & Economics, during its summer and winter programs.
Yonsei Intl. Summer School
The Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) opened its doors in 1985 and since then, YISS has become an integral part of campus life based on a unique blend of Korean and global cultures.
YISS is offering about 100 courses in 7 different areas for 6 weeks in summer and continues to grow and evolve, accommodating the needs of a rapidly changing student body and meeting the challenges of a fastpaced global society.

Yonsei Intl. Winter School
Yonsei University offers a 6-week winter program at its Sinchon campus for international students who would like to enjoy the winter in Seoul. The winter program is composed of two separate 3-week sessions, with intensive morning coursework and unique afternoon Korean language and Taekwondo classes. At the weekend, students can enjoy Korean winter activities. It will be an excellent opportunity to catch up with your coursework, meeting professors in an intimate setting, and to enjoy the companionship of students from all over the world.
Korean Language Institute
The Korean Language Institute is designed to give students the chance to learn the Korean language and culture while enhancing their understanding about Korea.
Yonsei University has been working towards this goal since its foundation in 1959 and has become one of the most important and useful institutes in the field.
All of the teachers at the Korean Language Institute hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Korean and possess a range of knowledge about Korean culture and teaching foreign students. Due to their background, each of the teachers is especially equipped to help students learn in an efficient and engaging environment.
Each term lasts for 10 weeks, and students attend classes for 4 hours, 5 days a week.
The Regular Program includes levels 1 through 6, all of which can be completed in a year and a half.

East Asia International College
The EIC offers many courses that are systematically coordinated for focused studies of the East Asian region, which extends beyond China, Japan and Korea to neighboring areas such as Far Eastern Russia and South East Asia.
