College of Liberal ArtsCollege of Liberal Arts
Liberal arts academic experience is an important part of the way that university education develops outstanding individuals with strong core competencies who can rationally understand and respond to the future social challenges. The future-oriented core characteristics that university education seeks to cultivate in learners are the ability to self-direct improvement, a service- and sharing-oriented character, the ability to produce results in original and creative ways, and the ability to lead the response to global challenges. Of the universities in South Korea, Wonju Campus has been an exemplar for the residential college system. By establishing a liberal arts education platform composed of educational infrastructure and content corresponding to the educational ideology and talent that we aim to develop at Wonju Campus, the liberal arts program strives to be a groundbreaking model for university liberal arts education that is local, education-centered, and productive.
