Academy Information Center
The academic and information part of Academy Information Center has provided the utmost information and infra-consulting to strengthen teaching method, learning and research since it had been established in 1915 with the opening of Yonhi College. Central Library of Sinchon Campus and Yonsei-Samsung Library that has opened in 2008 as well as Underwood Memorial library in Songdo International Campus contain 2.3million books, around 70 thousand kinds of electronic journals, 270 thousand electronic books and around 300 databases. These places have also been a pleasant place for Yonsei students to research and study. The information and database part was built on November 1969 to support the administration’s digitalization process and education research such as the research and practice support of student and faculty and information handling of academic and administrative work. It then changed to Yonsei Computing Institute on March 1992 in order to prepare to become a research centered university and strengthen the educational functions. Finally to meet the demands of the technology based society with network, multimedia, it integrated the A.V. Center, Exchange Center and it was reorganized into the Academic Information Center in March 2009.
