2,779 Bachelor's, 800 Master's, and 464 Doctoral Degrees Conferred
Our university held the commencement for February 2024 on Monday, February 26th at 11:30 AM in the main auditorium.
On this day, a total of 4,043 degrees were conferred, including 2,779 bachelor's degrees, 800 master's degrees, and 464 doctoral degrees. The ceremony was attended by many graduates, as well as faculty members and parents, including President Dong-Sup Yoon and Alumni Association President Lee Kyoung Ryul.
In particular, Lee Kyoung Ryul, the president of the Alumni Association (Medicine '79, Chairman of SCL Healthcare Group), expressed his support for the graduates' new beginnings by stating, 'I hope that the valuable values learned at Yonsei will shine brightly in difficult moments.'
Furthermore, awards were presented to outstanding students who achieved excellent academic performance last semester.
President Dong-Sup Yoon, during the graduation ceremony, applauded the graduates for their adaptability to both face-to-face and remote learning amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 situation. He emphasized, 'I applaud the passion and perseverance you have demonstrated in your academic pursuits.'
He further urged the graduates to uphold the sense of duty as Yonsei alumni, remember the pioneering spirit of Yonsei, and courageously strive towards their goals without fear of failure.
On the day of the commencement, February 26th, the campus buzzed with activity as graduates, along with their families and friends, gathered throughout the day to capture commemorative photos before leaving the campus. Apart from the traditional photo spots such as in front of the Underwood Statue and the Eagle Statue, specially crafted photo zones were set up in front of the Underwood Courtyard and the Sculpted Fountain to celebrate the graduation, allowing for even richer memories to be preserved.
