Yonsei University Corporation(Chairman Heo Dong-su) convened its board meeting on October 25th and unanimously appointed Professor Dong-Sup Yoon from the Department of Surgery at the Yonsei University College of Medicine as the 20th President. His term will run from February 1, 2024, to January 31, 2028, lasting four years.
The newly appointed President Dong-Sup Yoon, born in 1961, holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Medicine from Yonsei University and earned a Doctorate in Medicine from Korea University. He has previously served as the Director of Surgery and the President of Gangnam Severance Hospital. Since August 1, 2020, he has been concurrently serving as the Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs. Externally, he has held the positions of Chairman of the Korean Hospital Association and Chairman of the Korean Surgical Society.
