Housing application Notice (Graduate students) for Summer vacation in 2021

1. Eligibility: Graduate students

2. Application period : 2021/5/21 (Fri) 10:00 ~ 6/2 (Wed) 23:59

3. Payment period : 2021/6/4 (Fri) 10:00 ~ 6/9 (Wed) 23:59

※ Applications or payment won`t be allowed after deadline. Please be punctual.

4. Housing application

Go to wjdorm.yonsei.ac.kr → Log-in → 입사신청 Click ‘Apply’ → 입사신청 (대학원생) Click ‘Apply (Graduate students)’ → Fill

out application form → 개인정보 수집 동의 Agree to use of personal info → 신청 Click ‘Apply’

※ After completing the application, it is necessary to check whether the application was successful in the application info.

※ Students who receive ‘Outstanding foreign student scholarships’ must submit Housing application form via our website.

Furthermore, if these students have applied for Maeji 3 dorm, they do not have to pay the amount in payment period.

5. Payment

Go to wjdorm.yonsei.ac.kr → Log-in → 입사신청 Click ’Apply’ → 입사신청 내역 Click ’Application info’ → Check your assigned

bank account number at ’등록 안내 (Registration)’ → Pay the fee with selected account.

※ Deposit must be done in your name.

※ If you do not pay the fee during payment period, your application will be cancelled.

6. Dorm, Period of residency, Fee, etc.

Remarks	※ 10 vacancies only for each male and female students (First come, first served)

※ Cleaning service is not available for Grad students due to immediate move. (Clean the room by yourself)

※ Students who continue to live in Cheongyeon dorm from spring semester to summer semester may have to move. (The

details will be announced in mid-June)

※ Graduate students can only apply for the type above.

※ To prevent COVID-19 infection, students will be assigned to single room in 2021-summer semester only.

※ Be punctual when you check in and out.

※ Among Foreign students who receive scholarships and wants to live in Cheongyeon dorm should pay the difference

between Cheongyeon fee and Maeji 3 fee. (₩361,900)

7. Refund policy

※ Request refund

Go to wjdorm.yonsei.ac.kr → Communitiy → Form Archive → Download the ‘퇴사 및 환불신청서 Refund request form’ → Send

an email mjdorm@yonsei.ac.kr (Refund generally takes about two to three weeks.)

	※ The reference date for a partial refund applies to cleaning the room and the date of check out (returned date of card key) ※ {Cancellation fee (20% of dorm fee) + The period of residency} will be deducted

8. Remarks about checking in

A. Check-in Procedure

ID Check → Body temperature and respiratory symptoms check → Required documents submission → Check in

※ Students must wear a mask when checking in.

※ You will not be able to check in if you have any problems such as fever, respiratory symptoms, travel route etc.

※ Students who physically contacted COVID-19 patients are prohibited to live in dormitory.

※ Outsiders, such as parents and friends, are not allowed to enter dorm in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

B. Required Papers (For foreign students)

※ Students who are currently living in the dorm do not have to submit the required documents.

※ It is possible to check in two weeks after entering the country.

※ Fill out the attached files and submit them when checking in.

1) Passport or copy of E-ticket (Certificate that shows your date of entry)

2) Written Pledge

3) Initial health status record

C. Items to prepare

Facial mask, individual sanitary products, beddings, LAN cable (Wireless router), personal thermometer.

※ Allowed: Blow dryer, laptop, air purifier, humidifier, etc.

※ Prohibited: Electric heating (electric pad, electric cushion, coffee machine, coffee pot, curling iron, iron, etc.),

flammable goods, electric scooter, gambling objects, pets, etc. [Penalty points will be given when detected]

9. Others

※ Students who check out before summer vacation must clean their room, returning borrowed item and card key by

12:00pm on June 19th.

※ After checking out, Housing Office will check your room. If there is a problem with the room such as poor cleaning, you

may get penalty points. Also, if you don't return the card key, you may be restricted from issuing various certificates

from Yonsei.

※ Refer to the another notice for information on storing luggage for foreign students.

※ Noise may occur due to facility maintenance or campus (non-campus) events.

※ Indoor temperature in summer vacation is designated to a certain temperature. (central control)

※ If facilities or equipments are out of order or damaged and in need of repair → wjdorm.yonsei.ac.kr → community →

Repair request → Apply

※ Smoking in the dorm and bringing alcohol into the dorm are prohibited. If you violate this rule, you can be expelled from

the dorm.

※ Please refer to the attached 'Housing Guidebook' for various dorm regulations and specific living guidelines.

10. Changing the Rules of Wonju Housing (for prevention of COVID-19)

A. Penalty points will be given until COVID-19 situation eases.
