To identify the most influential scientific minds of 2014, analysts from Thomson Reuters used the company’s Web of Science platform and InCites, its web-based scientific evaluation and benchmarking platform. One of the most important criteria for compiling this list was the number of highly cited research papers produced between 2002 and 2012.
