On November 6, the Yonsei School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering signed a Dual Degree MOU with the Department of Electrical Engineering of Universitas Indonesia. Under the MOU, participating students who satisfy graduation requirements at both Yonsei University and Universitas Indonesia can acquire graduate degrees from both universities.  The dual degree program will be open to Master’s candidates who have completed five semesters and PhD candidates who have completed six semesters.
Universitas Indonesia is generally considered to be the top university in Indonesia. Established in 1851, it is the country’s oldest institution of higher education, and it has campuses in Depok, West Java and Salemba, Jakarta.
The Yonsei School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering also has a dual degree program with the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Carolina, which was created in 2012.  Yonsei officials believe that this agreement with Universitas Indonesia will help to strengthen Yonsei’s global competitiveness by expanding opportunities for international graduate student exchanges.
