Since the end of August, the Baekyang-ro Renovation Project has been going at full speed.  Upon completion of the project in 2015, Baekyang-ro will be transformed into a pedestrian area, allowing Yonseians to walk between buildings unhindered by cars or motor scooters.  As a core component of Yonsei University’s “Third Founding,” the Baekyang-ro Renovation Project will transform the Sinchon campus into an eco-friendly, green campus, providing an enhanced educational and research environment.  Including the construction that will take place underground, the total development area of the Baekyang-ro Renovation Project will be 127,934 m2 (38,700 pyeong).  Above ground, there will be 61,157 m2 (18,500 pyeong) of green space, while below ground, 15,537 m2 (4,700 pyeong) will be developed to create cultural spaces, academic facilities, and 1,040 parking spaces.
