2013 Graduation Ceremony Yonsei University’s 2013 Graduation Ceremony was held February 25th on the Sinchon Campus. A total of 5,204 degrees were conferred, including 2,988 bachelor’s, 1,895 master’s, and 321 doctoral degrees. In his commencement address, President Jeong Kap-young told graduates: “Yonsei is your past as well as your future. Once you leave the gates of this university, you will need to form your own judgments and make your own decisions. It is my hope that all of you, as proud Yonseians, will shape the spirit of our age, realizing big and important dreams. I wish you the faith and courage to embody the virtues of Yonsei University as you meet the challenges of life in this global era.” He also reminded graduates that they represent both the history and future of Yonsei: “From Yonsei, you step out into the world and into the future. The discoveries you make, the accomplishments you achieve—these will continue to enrich Yonsei University and become part of its storied legacy. You are Yonsei’s future. You are Yonsei’s history.”
