Since 2001, Yonsei University Wonju Campus has held the Yun Dong-ju Literature Contest for high school students in commemoration of Yun Dong-ju’s patriotic love and literature spirit. In its 12th year, the Contest this year selected 100 pieces each from the prose and verse divisions out of the total 533 in the preliminary round (291 prose and 242 verse). The final competition took place on August 10th, resulting in 38 awardees (in each division, 1 grand, 3 excellent, and 15 participation prizes). On the day of the final competition, special lectures by Professor Ko Seok-ju (Korean Language and Literature) and Professor Oh Byeong-geun (Division of Design and Arts) were offered to parents and school teachers.
