The 4th Cho Rak-kyo Award was presented to Professor Han Jin-yong at the University of California, Los Angeles. As a specialist in Econometrics, Professor Han has published numerous articles in Econometrica, Journal of Econometrics, and Econometric Theory. The Cho Rak-kyo Award was established in 2007 by Cho Rak-kyo, a graduate of College of Business and Economics at Yonsei University. The award was founded to recognize the academic achievements of Korean economists and promote research efforts. While the first two awardees were Professor Choi Yon-gu of Columbia University (2007) and Professor Shin Hyon-song of Princeton University (2008), the awardee last year was Professor Park Joon-yong of Indiana University (2009).
