Among the 2000 students enrolled in the 2009-2010 Law Schools in Korea, 285 (14.3%) were Yonsei Graduates. Yonsei ranked the second highest after Seoul National University. This report has proved Yonsei as a top-class institute of law practitioners. Whereas the number of Seoul National University graduates and Korea University graduates dropped from last year’s 502 (25.1%) to 454 (22.7%) and 304 (15.2%) to 283 (14.2%), respectively; the number of Yonsei graduates increased from 273 (13.6%) to 285 (14.3%). According to an analysis reported by the Law Journal, among the 2000 students accepted in the 2009-2010 Law Schools in Korea, 1970 students are graduates of 71 universities in Korea, and 30 students are graduates from foreign universities. Out of the 71 universities, only 25 universities had produced more than 10 law school students, including Seoul National University (454, 22.7%), Yonsei University (285, 14.3%), Korea University (283, 14.2%), Ewha Womans University (153, 7.7%), Sungkyunkwan University (97, 4.9%), and Hanyang University (81, 4.1%). Yonsei supports students who prepare for the bar exam or law school through the National Exam Support Center. As Yonsei Law School constructs leading systems, Yonsei students’ expectations and preferences for proceeding to law school seem to have enhanced and created positive effects.
