Leadership Lecture by Kang Shin-ik, President of Home Entertainment, LG Electronics On May 20, Kang Shin-ik, president and head of the Home Entertainment Business Division of LG Electronics, delivered a special lecture at Yonsei University. As a graduate of business administration, year of 1978, at Yonsei University, he joined LG Electronics in 1985 and has long work experiences in foreign branches, including those in German, Canada and America. He was the leader of the digital display division and is currently president and head of the Home Entertainment—a new business unit which unifies the digital display and digital media units. President Kang is a credit to the leading LG Electronics. In the lecture, he shared the hard times and challenges through which LG Electronics developed from a national small business in the 80s to a leading company in the global electronics industry. As the factors for success, President Kang especially emphasized the importance of teamwork and devotion. He asked his young audience to constantly think about what person they wish to be and to “create and live with your life’s vision”.
