In Yonsei’s CCC(Cross Cultural Communication) Lecture, Students from 7 Universities in 4 Countries Learned Together via Video Conferencing On December 4, the CCC(Cross Cultural Communication) lecture offered by University College had a special discussion session. Led by Professor Ahn Jung-eun and Duane Henning, the discussion session involved students from 7 universities in Japan, China and Taiwan, as well as 10 Yonsei students. Different from the regular CCC lecture in two classes, the lecture on December 4 had all students from its two classes to have a discussion session with other participating students in 3 countries. It was the first time in Korea to have such large variety of participating universities in one discussion session especially done via video conferencing. The discussion participants were from Waseda University (Japan), DaLian JiaoTong University, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Dalian University of Technology (China), Southern Taiwan University and Tamkang University (Taiwan). The video conferencing technology used in the lecture had a special feature of 7 large screens that made it possible for the participating students to simultaneously listen to the lecture and discuss each other. The discussion topic for the day was ‘What is international personality in this globalization age’ and the students exchanged their views on the issue through the screens.
