After the two-hour orientation, Yonsei Newsletter had a small talk with a student from Germany, Claudia Hirschfeld (21, Junior). Her nationality is German but she is currently studying Business at Jönköping University in Sweden. "I did not go to college straight after receiving high school diploma. I had sort of a gap year between high school and college since I was not sure whether to continue study or not. During that period, I went to Sweden for vacation and found Sweden an attractive place to study. "The school environment is really favorable to me. The class consists of a small number of people but very friendly. All classes are being provided in English. I wanted to study in a more international environment." She said that it has been four days since she arrived in Seoul. To her everything appears very different from Europe at a glance. "I have a plan to study in Singapore afterward since it is a very fascinating place for the field of international management. But before doing it, I have chosen to study in Korea." The reason she gave for her decision to come to Korea was this. She admired the main webpage of Yonsei University. "Not many Korean universities provide well-organized homepage in English like Yonsei." Despite the short stay in Korea, she already has made friends now. "Yesterday I met several students and became friends with them." She is not the only student from her university. "Well, there are three students coming from my college and one is absent today, but She will show up later somehow," she said. She remarked that she has signed up for 18 credits this semester. She would be very busy since she now concentrates on fulfilling her major course requirements. She takes her classes only in the field of business and economics. "I am going to take full-time maximum credits yet it is subject to change during the first school week," she said. She participated in that day's other activities in the afternoon. She expressed her thanks for the interview: "I am really enjoying my life here and expect everything goes well in Seoul." It seems that she has already adapted herself to Korea since her friends were waiting for her outside.
