[Global Network] Can’t Wait to Start the Semester

International Students Orientation Held International Students Orientation was held in the auditorium of Baekyanggwan on Tuesday, 24 February. Nearly 300 international students from all over the world, full of hope and expectations, gathered together and participated in the orientation program. In the first part of the orientation, Professor Michael Kim from the UIC introduced briefly the life on campus along with his warm welcoming remarks. Lots of useful information and tips were shared, and a video introducing multiple facilities in the central library was screened at the end. In the second part, the Office of International Affairs provided general information about life in Korea and Yonsei University. Introduction of Seoul Global Center and some more practical information such as getting a mobile phone, opening a bank account, and using public transportation was given, and introductions of student clubs such as Yonsei Global, Global Angel, Mentors Club, IYC, and EMMANUS followed. Currently, as many as 2,400 international students are studying at Yonsei. The university is educating the largest number of international students in Korea.
