2009 Yonsei Alumni New Year Celebration The Yonsei Alumni Association (President: Park Sam-Koo, Chairman of Kumho Asiana Group) held the 2009 Yonsei Alumni New Year Celebration in January 20. Among the 1,000 alumni gathered for the event were Prime Minister Han Seung-Soo, Minister of Knowledge Economy Lee Youn-Ho, Alumni President Park Sam-Koo, Yonsei President Kim Han-Joong, and many other prominent figures in the political and economic circles, in addition to the former presidents of Yonsei. Many Yonsei graduates were recognized for their services to the community and for contributing to the Yonsei name. Also, the Economic Crisis Scholarship Campaign was introduced at the event. Mirae Asset Financial Group Chairman Park Hyeon-Joo donated 615 million won, providing scholarships for 80 students this academic year. CHA Medical Group Representative Cha Kwang-Yul also donated 100 million won.
