The Department of Foods and Nutrition Project for Functional Foods and Neutrogenomics held the Symposium on Recent Advances in Gastrointestinal Pharmacology and Nutrigenomics (Director Kim Hyeyoung) on February 22. Scholars from the U.S., Japan, and Russia were invited to speak and debate on the newest developments regarding treatment of gastrointestinal disorders and relevant nutritional and pharmaceutical methods. The lecturers included Professors Kim Hyeyoung (Yonsei University), Susan Hagen (Harvard Medical School), Koji Takeuchi (Kyoto Pharmaceutical University, Japan), and Lubmila Filaretova (Pavlov Institute of Physiology, Russia).
