Director John B. Duncan of the UCLA Center for Korean Studies visited Yonsei to sign a fellowship agreement on August 6. According to Director Baik Young Seo of the Yonsei Institute of Korean Studies, this fellowship program will support future generations of Korean Studies scholars through international cooperation and improve the standings of the two universities in the field of Korean Studies. Graduate students of the two universities will be allowed to exchange credits and ask for professors of both universities to advise them in writing their theses. After the signing, President Jung Chang Young met with Dr. Duncan at a luncheon and discussed ways of expanding the exchange between the two universities and promoting Korean Studies at Yonsei through the UCLA Center for Korean Studies.
