The Office of International Affairs and Tohoku University agreed on an MOU regarding student exchange and collaborative research. Yonsei and Tohoku will work together on various research projects and exchange faculty, researchers, students, and academic resources. Yonsei University President Jung Chang-Young and Professors Goto Takashi and Komeda Tadahiro of Tohoku University were present at the agreement signing. Tohoku University was founded in 1907 and celebrated its 100th anniversary this year. It is located in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, and a total of 17,500 students are currently enrolled. The university is widely known for its outstanding Engineering School, and is one of Japan’s finest universities, ranking 76th in the international university rankings announced by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University of China.
