UCLA Chancellor Gene Block Visits Yonsei

 

-Provides “Lessons in Crisis Management”

 

 

On November 1, UCLA Chancellor Gene Block paid a visit to Yonsei to deliver a lecture entitled “Lessons in Crisis Management: A Chancellor’s Perspective.” In his talk, Chancellor Block provided three leadership models for effectively directing a university. The first is to forge a common vision, the second is devising solutions with experts, while the third is developing partnerships on the basis of consensus.

 

 

He then provided examples of how UCLA has been able to resolve crises because of these models. During the question and answer session, the students in the audience were grateful to have Chancellor Block more fully elaborate on his ideals for leadership.
