Yonsei College of Music Hosts Charity Concert

 

 

Yonsei College of Music students gave a charity concert in Baekyang Concert Hall on October 28. This was the 3rd annual fall charity concert, and it has become one of the college’s most significant events. The evening featured music by Naji Kim and Yun-jae Cho, and the aim was to raise money for the underprivileged living in Seodaemun-gu.

 

In cooperation with local companies, clinics, and organizations, the College of Music raised $6,600 (KRW 7,500,000) through the concert. The funds are being used in Seodaemun to support Dream Box, which provides feminine hygiene products to students, and Food Truck, which delivers food to the elderly and children from low-income families.

 

Sae-jin Ji, an instrumental music major and student president of the College of Music, said: “Participating in this year’s event was a humbling experience, and I wish that more people could appreciate what they have at the moment and give back to the community in whatever way they can.”
