Industry - Academy Collaboration project of
UIC’s Design Factory Korea (DFK) and Allianz Korea

This past July, the students of Underwood International College’s Techno-Art Division successfully completed the industry-academy collaboration project with Allianz Korea.

The project team, composed of 4 students participated in a project to improve the services and marketing strategy of Allianz Korea’s online insurance product “AllRight.” The project team worked together at DFK to design a product that meets the concept, marketability, and product development potential of the Allianz Korea. As a result, they launched a new health care service application named, “Walker Holic.” DFK is a part of the Design Factory Global Network (DFGN) - an innovative and interdisciplinary program established by Aalto University in Finland -and provides students with resources so as to help them develop creative products and services.

Based on industry-academy collaboration, Allianz Korea provided the participating Yonsei students with mentoring sessions during the last semester, and students were able to receive feedback from not only DFK faculty members but also experienced experts working at Allianz Korea. On July 7, at Allianz Korea’s headquarters, the business collaboration project officially came to an end with the students successfully presenting their creative ideas on service provision and marketing plans.

DFK, as a center for future oriented education and industry-academy collaboration, will continue to cooperate with DFK global network partners, focusing on providing students with opportunities to work with students and companies from around the world.
