Global Day

 

 

 

Each semester, Yonsei Global organizes Global Day, a two-day event welcoming more than 500 guests to enjoy diverse cultural experiences from around the world. This semester, Yonsei Global hosted “Spain Day” on May 3 and 4 at the Global Lounge.

 

For Spain Day, a number of games and contests were held for the participants. There was a small-side football match and an e-sports station, while a food truck was parked outside the Global Lounge selling churros, the popular Spanish dessert. An exhibition displaying photographs and postcards from Spain was also set up.

 

 

 

What is YONSEI GLOBAL?

 

 

Yonsei Global is a student organization sponsored by the Office of International Affairs (OIA). Since its creation in 2003, it has served to enhance the experience of international students studying at Yonsei. Yonsei Global offers a variety of programs and events for all Yonsei students, while helping international students adapt to Korean culture and make new friends.

 

Global Day was launched two years ago; other Yonsei Global programs include “Global Angel,” a volunteer program for international students, and “Language Exchange,” which matches international students with Korean students to assist them in improving their language skills.
