Yonsei Students Top Nationally in Global Marketing Competition
 
-Team to Represent Korea in Paris in June
 
 
 
Yonsei's Re-Generation team won the final domestic round of the 2016 L’Oréal Brandstorm global marketing contest on April 6. The contest is open to college students from all over the world, and each year, members of the winning team are given an internship opportunity with the company and the chance to participate in its Management Training Program. The focus of this year’s competition is on developing an integrated strategy to attract a new generation of La Roche-Posay customers.
 
 
 
During the competition, participants can ask for advice on their marketing strategies from brand marketers and L’Oréal representatives. When asked about their winning formula, one of Re-Generation’s members, Kim Da-som, answered: “We paid the greatest attention to ‘feasibility.’ We initially had many ideas as the theme was very broad, but when we thought about the feasibility of implementation, we were able to narrow down and focus on a single approach.” Park Kyung-eun, the team leader, added: “Another possible contributing factor was that each of our team members was strong in different areas like idea development, design, and presentation.”
 
Yonsei’s Re-Generation will represent Korea in the final round of the Brandstorm competition on June 30 in Paris. There, they will face off against rivals from fifty-seven other countries.
