First Asia Science Deans’ Summit Held

On November 6, as part of its 100^th anniversary celebration, the Yonsei College of Science hosted the first Asia Science Deans’ Summit (ASDS). The summit welcomed college of science deans from China, Japan, India, as well as Korea, and there were many distinguished guests representing international scientific societies and associations. 

In his opening remarks, Yonsei President Jeong Kap-young congratulated the summit’s organizers: “It is very special that Yonsei University initiated this summit in celebration of the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the College of Science.” During the summit, the deans agreed to establish a collaborative network for education and research among the many colleges of science in Asia. The second ASDS will be held next year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
