Underwood International College Participates in Incheon International Design Fair 2015

-Information and Interaction Design Major Students showcases

a variety of projects at major design event held in Incheon

Students under the Information and Interaction Design (IID) Major of Underwood International College’s (UIC) Techno-Art Division participated in the Incheon International Design Fair (INDEF) 2015 at Incheon Art Platform. With 10 years history of promoting design culture and enhancing the brand image of the city, INDEF is one of the biggest events held by the Incheon Metropolitan Government and is attended by corporate and university representatives, designers, and open to the public.

IID students presented a total of 16 projects which were featured in the “Interactive Design” section of the exhibition, all of which were received well by the spectators. These include works featuring graphics, information and motion designs, and user experience. Other eye-catching projects were graphic images applying typography; a sensor-equipped rubbish bin capable of notifying if there is no more space for trash; and interactive blocks for children from single-parent families that facilitates communication with their parents.

All schools related to design situated in Incheon, participated in the INDEF 2015 themed, "Design Fair with Citizens." It was the first time that Yonsei University participated in the event. The event was meaningful because Yonsei students had the opportunity to cooperate with the local community and find opportunities for industry-university collaboration projects.
