On June 28th, the Yonsei Technology Holding Company signed an MOU agreement with Korea Development Bank (KDB) on Outstanding Technology Commercialization and Technology Management Consulting. The cooperative agreement with KDB is expected to expand Yonsei’s business portfolio. The Yonsei Technology Holding Company was founded in June this year with the aim of generating visions of social benefits by means of the commercialization of university’s patent technology and outstanding technology. Since 2008, the Company has run a program to discover outstanding technology in Yonsei campuses and has selected those technologies for commercialization. Currently in its first stage, the Company plans to run three companies while its goal is to operate over 50 by the year 2020. Professor Hong Dae-sik, Chairman of Yonsei Technology Holding Company and Director of the Office of Research Affairs, said, “This MOU agreement with KDB will take us a step forward in information exchange on commercialization and investment and allow us to share specialists in business feasibility analysis. With KDB’s sizable and diverse professional network, the Yonsei Technology Holding Company will efficiently extend new business portfolios and construct systematic investment plans.
