Alumni Reunion, Proud Yonsei Family, Special Exhibition On May 8, the Undergraduate Alumni Reunion in celebration of the 25th, 35th and 50th anniversary of graduation was held at the Main Auditorium. The reunion event was a valuable moment for Yonsei alumni to meet their old classmates and professors. They strolled around the campus, redefining their old aspirations and recharging their present life. On this day, 56 families that have Yonsei graduates over 3 generations or more gathered on campus—the result of the ‘Search for Proud Yonsei Family’ campaign. A total of 311 Yonsei graduates from 56 families, including 2 families that have graduates in the year of 1911, 8 families that have graduates over 4 generations and 3 families who have more than 10 Yonsei graduates, came together and enjoyed lunch at the President’s residence on campus. A memorial tablet was conferred to the families and family photographs were taken as well. From May 6 to 31, a special exhibition entitled ‘Christian Missionary 125 years and Yonsei University’ is taking place at the Centennial Hall. The exhibition focuses on the early traces of Christian missionary work in Korea and the historical relationship between Christianity and Yonsei. It intends to boost the understanding and interest of the early Christian missionary work in Korea. It contains substantial records of the past, including photographs, documents, and books.
