Graduate of Yonsei University Graduate School of Journalism and Mass Communication Advanced Management Program Wife Kim Yoon-ok Also a Yonsei Graduate President Lee Myung-bak was inaugurated on February 25 in the National Assembly building and officially began his five-year term as the 17th President of the Republic of Korea. In his inaugural address titled ‘Together We Shall Open A Road to Advancement’, President Lee said, “As the President of this great nation when we are beginning another 60 years of the Republic, I hereby declare the year 2008 as the starting year for the advancement of the Republic of Korea.” He declared the end of “the age of ideology” and the beginning of “the age of pragmatism.” President Lee is a graduate of the Yonsei University Graduate School of Journalism and Mass Communication Advanced Management Program. His wife, First Lady Kim Yoon-ok, also completed the Yonsei Graduate School of Human Environmental Sciences Executive Management Program. She served as the 7th President of the Graduate School of Human Environmental Sciences Executive Management Program Alumni Association and is currently serving as an advisor.
