From 2007, the Underwood International College (Dean Mo Jongryn) will manage the Yonsei International Summer School, a program which first began in 1985 and is carrying on a legacy of tradition and quality with the participation of many foreign students. Students eligible to participate are students of foreign universities or Yonsei, and students who have been accepted to foreign universities. During a six-week intensive course during the summer vacation, students will be able to enjoy an international experience as well as earn credits. The 2007 program is exceptional in its co-management with the University of California (UC). 30 professors from UC have been invited, and 10 prestigious scholars from renowned universities worldwide such as Columbia University will add more excitement to the faculty. Professor Edward O. Laumann of the University of Chicago, Professor Robert Hayes of UCLA, Professor Charles Armstrong of Columbia, and Professor Sarkis Khoury of UC Riverside are just a few of the people students will be able to meet this year. Also, from 2007, the Yonsei International Summer School will accommodate Yonsei students as well to allow students to experience the world without going overseas. As in regular summer and winter sessions, seven credits will be acknowledged for Yonsei students. *Yonsei Students Application: May 28 (Monday) – 30 (Wednesday) Registration: June 18 (Monday) – 20 (Wednesday) Inquiries: Curriculum Department 02)2123-2090 *Overseas International Students Application and Payment Deadline: May 31, 2007 Tel: 82-2-2123-3535/ URL: http://summer.yonsei.ac.kr
