Freshman Scholarships

Special Scholarship for Freshmen Majoring in Korean Language Education 2019.04.16

  • Criteria: International students who have completed the Korean language education program at the International Education Center at Mirae Campus and have received a recommendation from the Director of International Education Center

  • Application: Awarded without any separate application

  • Payment: Reduced semester tuition

  • Scholarship standard

    Incoming foreign nationals and Koreans raised overseas who have completed at least two semesters of Korean language courses offered by the International Education Center of Mirae Campus and who have received a recommendation from the Director of the International Education Center.

    Receiving benefits from more than one of the Scholarship Based on Entrance Scores for Foreign National Freshmen, the Scholarship for Freshmen with Excellent Korean Language Ability, the Special Scholarship for Korean Language Education, the Scholarship Based on Entrance Scores for Foreign Nationals, and the Scholarship for Excellent Korean Language Ability is not permitted. Students who would be awarded two or more of the preceding scholarships shall instead receive the greatest single scholarship value.

    For scholarships with more than two years of benefits, the beneficiary shall receive a single deferral if they do not meet the standard for continuing to receive the scholarship. If the beneficiary does not meet the standard twice, they will be no longer eligible to receive the scholarship in the future.

※ Standard for continuing to receive the scholarship: the student took a total of 12 credits or more in the preceding semester and maintained a GPA of 2.4 (on a 4.3 scale) or higher
