Earn Dual MBAs by Studying One Year at Each Institution
The School of Business at Yonsei University (Dean: Kim Seongmoon) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University (Dean: Bai Chong-En) on October 10 in Beijing, China. This agreement enables a dual MBA degree program and sets the foundation for broader academic cooperation between the two institutions. Through this agreement, Yonsei University becomes the first Asian university to establish a dual MBA degree program with Tsinghua University.
Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management holds a prestigious global reputation, ranking 8th in Business and Economics according to the 2024 THE (Times Higher Education) rankings and 24th in Business and Management in the QS rankings. The institution has already established dual degree programs with leading universities such as MIT, Columbia University, and HEC Paris, and this is its first collaboration with an Asian university.
Yonsei University’s School of Business also stands as a global leader. In the 2024 THE rankings, it was placed first in South Korea and 47th worldwide in Business and Economics, and it leads domestically in the QS Business and Management rankings (54th globally). In the 2025 QS World MBA Rankings, Yonsei’s Full-time MBA ranked first in South Korea and 82nd globally.
The dual MBA degree program is set to launch in the spring semester of 2024. Eligible participants will include students enrolled in Yonsei’s Executive MBA, Corporate MBA, Finance MBA, and Global MBA programs, along with Global MBA students from Tsinghua. Each year, up to five students will be selected to study for one year at each institution, allowing them to graduate with an MBA from both universities.
Kim Seongmoon, Dean of the School of Business and the Graduate School of Business at Yonsei, commented, “Tsinghua University has been operating dual MBA degrees with top universities in the U.S. and Europe, and now, with this agreement, Yonsei University is the first in Asia to launch such a program with Tsinghua. It holds great significance as a partnership between the representative MBA schools of both countries.”
