Guide dog Noon Song becomes Yonsei's first honorary canine student

April 24 is 2019 International Guide Dog Day!

To celebrate devoted guide dogs helping the visually impaired, Yonsei University accepted guide dog Noon Song as its first honorary student. Since the 2019 spring semester, the two-year-old Noon Song has served as a guide dog to Lee Ye-won, a senior majoring in psychology, and is Yonsei’s first canine student.

Professor Cho Chang-hwan, Associate Dean for External Affairs and Development, presented the honorary student ID to Noon Song at a ceremony on April 17, 2019. “As of this April, Noon Song is officially a Yonsei student,” he said. “The University will treat her equally and with respect.”
