On November 1, Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, held the "18th Korea-Japan Millennium Forum" with Korea University, Keio University, and Waseda University and had a signing ceremony for the "Memorandum on Online Joint Lecture Cooperation" with the presidents of each university.

The Korea-Japan Millennium Forum began in 2002 and is where presidents, researchers, and students of major private universities representing South Korea and Japan gather to explore future visions by fostering global talents and revitalizing academic and research exchanges.

Yonsei, KU, Keio, and Waseda, representing Korea and Japan, deeply sympathized with each other on the COVID-19 pandemic and the 4th Industrial Revolution issues. They actively participated in the memorandum on the online joint lecture to make this year's Korea-Japan Millennium Forum held on the Yonsei campus a more meaningful venue for university and national cooperation.

"The "Online Joint Lecture Network" has progressed among universities in Korea, but this memorandum will be the starting point for establishing an online joint lecture network with various fields with world-class universities," President Seoung Hwan Suh of Yonsei University said, "we look forward to opening new horizons for the meaning of education and international exchange and cooperation in the hyperconnected era after the pandemic."
