Application Guide on Campus-to-Campus Affiliation Change for 2023 2022.11.17

1. Applicable Units


Changing affiliation is allowed only for departments (majors) with vacancies in the admission quota for each recruitment unit. However, music departments, sports departments, the School of Integrated Technology at the College of Engineering, Underwood International College, College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, the Division of Health Sciences at the College of Software and Digital Healthcare Convergence (special bachelor's degree program) or contract departments are not allowed for changing affiliation.

2. Eligibility


(1) Only those students who entered through a freshman admission.

(2) Only those students who have completed at least 3 semesters and have not completed 6 semesters among students whose first major has been approved (either enrolled or on the leave of absence.)

* Students who have completed 6 semesters cannot apply.

* However, the Mirae Campus students at the Division of Design and Arts, Division of Biological Science and Technology, Division of Computer and Telecommunications Engineering, Division of Environmental Engineering, Division of Biomedical Engineering, and Division of East Asian Studies have the same qualifications as the first major approved students even if they are not affiliated to specific major.


(3) Applications are available only to those who have completed at least 9 credits in their major subjects.



3. Process


(1) 1st Screening: Reviewing the detailed qualifications for application and the completion of at least 9 credits in the major subject of the student's affiliated department

(2) 2nd Screening: Conducting documents review and interview at the applying college and department (performance or written tests may be imposed if necessary)



4. Documents

 

Write in the reason for the changing affiliation, motivation for application, career plan, and academic plan at the Changing Affiliation menu on the Academic Portal System.


* All documents other than designated documents are not to be accepted, and they will be destroyed for fair examination if submitted.



5. Schedule

 

1) Period: November 28, 2022 (Mon) - December 2, 2022 (Fri), 09:00 - 17:00

2) Reception: Changing Affiliation application menu on the Academic Portal System

3) 1st Screening Result Announcement: December 15, 2022 (Thu)

4) 2nd Screening (Interview): December 23, 2022 (Fri) [Face-to-face interview]

5) Final Result Announcement: January 11, 2023 (Wed)



6. Notes

 

1) Student ID number does not change even if the student succeeds changing affiliation.

2) Students who have not entered as freshmen, such as transferred students and double majoring graduation candidates, cannot apply for changing affiliation.

3) Changing affiliation is permitted only once during the entire period of registration.

4) It is impossible to cancel after applying for changing affiliation. Please carefully decide whether to apply.

5) Campus-to-campus affiliation change is conducted once a year, and it is impossible to apply for changing affiliation to the same department.

6) It is impossible to cancel changing affiliation or return to the original department after succeeding to change affiliation.

7) Students who have changed their affiliation must complete the curriculum designated by the changed department (division).

8) Students who have changed their affiliation are excluded from graduating with top honors.
