Notice on Registration of Freshmen at General Graduate School for Spring 2022

* For foreign students, the period of selection of voluntary student expenses and the period of tuition payment are different from those of Korean students, so please be aware when register.


1. Periods for Payment of Tuition Fees

A. Foreign nationals: January 7, 2022 (Fri) 09:30 – January 13 (Thu) 17:00

B. Korean nationals: February 9, 2022 (Wed) 09:30 – February 11 (Fri) 17:00


2. Voluntary Student Expenses

A. Selection Periods

1) Foreign nationals: January 5, 2022 (Wed) 09:30 – January 6 (Thu) 16:00

2) Korean nationals: February 7, 2022 (Mon) 09:30 – February 8 (Tue) 16:00

B. Selection Method: Yonsei Portal (portal.yonsei.ac.kr) → "Tuition and Payment" → Log in → Registration → Print/Registration →  Voluntary Student Expenses → select the item(s) you are willing to pay → "Confirm"
    (Items are not selected if you don’t click confirm, and it cannot be changed after confirmation.)

C. Payment Method: Pay along with tuition fees during the tuition payment period.

D. Notes

1) Selection and modification for autonomous expenses are only available during the selection period.

2) You may modify if your autonomous expenses selection details are "temporary saved," but once you click "Confirm" you cannot modify at all.


3. Checking Tuition Fees & Printing Bills

A. Foreign nationals: January 7, 2022 (Fri) 09:30 – January 13 (Thu) 17:00

B. Korean nationals: February 9, 2022 (Wed) 09:30 – February 11 (Fri) 17:00

C. Printing Method: Yonsei Portal (portal.yonsei.ac.kr) → "Tuition and Payment" → Log in → Registration → Print/Registration →  Print Bill

D. Notes

1) Tution bills can only be inquired and issued during a fixed inquiry period.

2) After payment, it is impossible to print the bill in anyway. If necessary, please print in advance.


4. Payment Methods

A. Account Transfer through Woori Bank’s Virtual Account

1) Transfer in full to a deposit-only account specified in the bill

- The deposit-only account (virtual account) is given one account per student.

- Even if the transfer is made in the name of another person other than the student him/herself, registration is automatically processed if the transfer is made into the correct account dedicated to the student.

- Payment is not possible if the transfer amount does not match. So please transfer the correct amount according to the bill, at once.

2) Method: Internet banking, phone banking, ATM transfer, bank windows, etc. are all available.

3) Notes

A) Transaction fees may be incurred if you use a bank other than Woori Bank.

B) Transfer may not be possible in some accounts in the secondary financial sector, such as CMA bankbooks.

C) Payment in installments is not available. Please check your transfer limit in advance.

D) It is not possible to return payments for changing payment method (eg. account transfer → credit card).


B. Using Credit Cards

1) Available Cards: "Woori Credit Card" (other companies’ cards, check cards, or corporate cards are not available.)

2) Method

A) Woori Card’s website: card.wooribank.com – 라이프 – 납부서비스 – 대학등록금 메뉴

B) Woori Card’s customer service: +82-1588-9955, +82-1599-9955

C) Visit Woori Bank’s branches nationwide in Korea

3) Notes

A) When paying with a credit card, registration will be applied on the Yonsei Portal 3 hours after payment.

B) Payment with a card can only be made in a total amount, and installment or partial payment cannot be made.

C) Payment can be made even if the card is not in the student’s name. Cancellation is only available on the same day of payment. (Please contact the card company.)

D) Installment plan services are available, Please contact the card company for more information.

E) Paying for the tuition is excluded from the card usage amount at the year-end tax adjustment.


C. International Transfer

1) If the methods A. or B. are not available due to overseas residence, etc., international transfer can be made to the account on the tuition bill.

2) Transfer is only available once. Please consider the transfer fee and exchange rate, so that the transfer amount to be matched with the bill. If the transferred amount exceeds the tuition, the excess amount will be returned to the personal account later.

3) Bank Information

· Bank Name : Woori Bank (Yonsei University branch)

· Recipient : Yonsei University

· Swift Code :  HVBKKRSE (or HVBKKRSEXXX)

· Address :  50 Yonsei-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul 03722, Korea

4) Notes

A) Please be careful not to expose your virtual account number to others when paying tuition

B) When transferring foreign currency, please proceed in a legitimate way using an official financial institution.

C) Please read: "Caution for Voice Phishing Theft for Tuition Payment"


5. Confirmation of Tuition Payment

A. How to Print the Tuition Payment Confirmation: Yonsei Portal (portal.yonsei.ac.kr) → "Tuition and Payment" → Log in → Registration → Print/Registration →  Print Tuition Payment Confirmation


6. Account Registration

A. In order to award scholarships or return tuition fees, please register your personal bank account number on the Yonsei Portal.

B. Method : Yonsei Portal (portal.yonsei.ac.kr) → Academic Management System → Academic Management System → 학적 → 학생정보 → 학생신상 → 계좌정보 변경 → Fill in the bank name (은행명) and account number (계좌번호) → 저장 (Save)

C. In the event of an error, please send a copy of the bankbook, a copy of the ID card (passport), a copy of student ID (or a captured page of the student information page on the Yonsei Portal) to the Financial Accounting Team (fiwebmaster@yonsei.ac.kr).
