To improve the tuition payment experience for international students making payments from overseas and

to address the inconvenience of traditional international wire transfers, Yonsei University has introduced the Flywire International Tuition Payment Service

beginning with the Summer Session of the 2026 academic year. 

We encourage eligible students to take advantage of this convenient payment option.

1. What is Flywire?

 : Flywire is a global education payment platform available in more than 240 countries and territories. 

   It enables students to pay tuition securely and conveniently using their local currency and a variety of payment methods.

2. Key Features

3. Eligibility

  : International students currently enrolled at Yonsei University who make tuition payments from outside Korea.

4. Effective Date

 : Beginning with the Summer Session of the 2026 academic year

   ※ New students will be eligible to use this service starting from the 2027 academic year.

5. How to Make a Payment

 Yonsei Portal Login > Select [Print Tuition Bill]  > Click [Flywire Pay Tuition Online] at the bottom of the page 

  > Select the country from which payment will be made > Choose a payment method (Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, WeChat Pay, etc.)

  > Enter payer information > Complete payment

6. Tuition Payment Process

International Student	→ ㅇㅇ	Flywire	→ 3–5 Business Days	Yonsei University
When Making an International Tuition Payment, Select Your Country and Preferred Payment Method on Flywire		Receive Payment in Foreign Currency ↓ Verify Payment Information ↓ Convert Funds to KRW ↓ Transfer Funds to Yonsei University		Receive the Exact Tuition Amount in KRW

 ※ Please note that it may take approximately 3–5 business days for Flywire to process and transfer your payment to Yonsei University. 

     Students are strongly advised to complete their payment well before the tuition payment deadline.

7. Important Notes

 1) Please ensure that the tuition amount displayed on the Flywire payment page matches the amount shown on your tuition bill.

 2) When using Bank Transfer through Flywire, you must enter the unique Reference Number / Payment ID provided by Flywire. 

 3) Payment methods may be changed only while the payment status is Initiated. 

     Once the payment status changes to Processed, payment cancellation is not possible under any circumstances.

 4) To prevent duplicate tuition payments, additional payments may be restricted after a Flywire payment has been completed.

8. Payment Status Tracking

  : Yonsei Portal >  Print Tuition Bill > Click [Check Payment Status]

 You can monitor your payment through the following stages. 

 Please note that once the payment status changes to Processed, the payment can no longer be cancelled.

  • Initiated : Payment started

  • Processed : Payment completed

  • Guaranteed : Payment secured by Flywire

  • Delivered : Funds successfully delivered to Yonsei University
