According to the Ministry of Education and the Korean Council for University Education, Yonsei University’s Office of Research Affairs/University Industry Foundation (RA/UIF) had the highest earnings in 2012 among RA/UIF offices in Korea. 
 RA/UIF earnings include funds taken in through corporate research and development projects, corporate executive training, and the transfer of university technologies and patents to corporations.  According to the report, which can be found at www.academyinfo.go.kr, Yonsei’s RA/UIF office placed first with 65.5 billion KRW, followed by POSTECH (59 billion KRW), Seoul National University (44.4 billion KRW), Kyoungbok University (31.6 billion KRW), and Hanyang University (29.4 billion KRW).  Compared to the RA/UIF office rankings from 2011, Yonsei jumped two spots, from third to first, and its earnings increased from 55.6 to 65.5 million KRW.  Conversely, Seoul National dropped from first to third, with a decrease in earnings from over 200 billion KRW to 44.4 billion KRW.
