On December 14 th, 31 middle and high school students from Goseong in South Kyungsang Province visited Yonsei University. The visit was one of the several campus tours in Seoul. These visits are organized to motivate the students before they participate in the Winter Vision Camp in January 2013. They also enable the students to get to know their mentors beforehand. YNBLUE, a mentoring club at Yonsei University, was in charge of the Yonsei visit. The students watched an introductory video clip about Yonsei University before gathering in their respective groups. In groups, the students shared their concerns and worries about the future with their mentors. Then, they went on tours around the libraries and attraction spots on campus. Baek Myung-ho, an official at the Department of Education and Social Welfare at Goseong County, said that, “I thank all the Yonsei mentors for taking time from their busy finals schedule to warmly welcome and meet the students in this rainy weather. I hope that the camp can become a model for educational exchange and balance between institutions in rural and urban areas, and that we can continue to sustain ties with Yonsei University.”
