The second phase of construction for the International Campus has begun after construction registrations have been completed on September 30th. It has been one year and seven months since phase one of the campus construction has been completed in February of 2010. During that period, phase two was being mapped out by negotiating with various organizations within the school. In addition, groundwork was being done for the past six months during which 4,513 piles have been constructed on the site of phase two. The second phase of construction consists of sub-phase 2A and 2B. 2A consists of eight complexes spanning over 25,000 squares and includes the main library, lecture halls, all-purpose halls, the POSCO green energy town, parking lots, and so on. 2B consists of two complexes spanning over 14,500 squares and includes the dormitory for married people and the R&D campus. The expected completion date for phase 2A is in February 2013 and February 2014 for phase 2B. Once phase two is completed, the International Campus will become twice the size of the current campus in phase one. The second phase of construction will give the place a more completed look as a campus and will enable a truly Residential Education for a greater number of students. In addition, creating a main library, an all-purpose hall, dorms for married people, and R&D campus will enable school members to concentrate on research and learning. Phase three of the construction will be planned out once phase two is completed.
