From January 28 to 29, the Facilitating Leaders of University Students (FLUS) YONSEI held the 1st FLUS Conference with support by the Korea Facilitators Association. As a Yonsei Leadership Center-affiliated organization, FLUS YONSEI is a club that practices facilitation, a new creative way of carrying out discussions. Through facilitation, the club pursues to nurture global leaders of the next generation. The 1st FLUS Conference was attended by around 130 students from 25 universities across the nation, including Yonsei, Sungkyunkwan, and Seoul National University. In the keynote speech delivered by Executive Director Yoon Kyong-ro (Director of Asia & Pacific Human Resources at DuPont), Mr. Yoon highlighted the importance of facilitation as a required element for future leaders. He also demonstrated how facilitation was linked to nurturing leadership, preparing for a future job, and creating business. The organization director of FLUS YONSEI, Kim Han-seul (junior, Electrical & Electronic Engineering) said that the participants of the conference will learn how facilitation is applied in approaching complicated issues and creating new ideas.
