On September 20, Durham University President Christopher Higgins visited Yonsei University and met with University President Kim Han-Joong and International Office Director Kim Dong-Hoon. The purpose of the visit was to finalize details of academic exchange agreement between the two schools. The agreement includes various and broad forms of exchange for students, research professors, administrative faculty, research cooperation, and special lecture invitations. Furthermore, President Higgins congratulated Yonsei University on winning and becoming the final recipient of IT Brain Training Venture Fund from the government and expressed deep interest in research collaboration between the two schools. The IT Brain Training Venture Fund is equivalent to “MIT Media Lab Establishment Enterprise” in its mission and funding.
