[YONSEI NEWS] President of Korea University, Lee Ki-Su, honored with Yonsei Honorary Doctorate

The president of Korea University, Lee Ki-Su, has been awarded with an honorary doctorate degree of Education from Yonsei University on September 7th, at Jangghiwon International Conference Hall in Yonsei Samsung University Library. Dr. Lee was born in 1946 and graduated from Korea University with a B.A. in Law. He continued on and received an M.A. from Seoul National University and PhD in Law from Korea University. He was one of the first recipients of Germany’s Konrad Adenauer Fellowship and received a PhD in Law from the University of Tübingen in Germany. Dr. Lee contributed actively to the academy and research of law since 1984 when he was appointed to the Korea University College of Law as Assistant Professor of Commercial Law. He served as Chair for many law-related and legal research associations such as Ahn-am Law Association (1994-1996), Korea Economic Administration Law Association (1996-1998), Korea Intelligence Property Law Association (1997-1998), International Trade Law Association (1999-2001), Korea Commercial Law Association (2002-2003), Korea Law Professor Association (2006-2008), and Constitutional Law Legal Consulting Committee (2009-present). He also published over 20 books and research papers and over 300 journal articles in law. He also lectured as visiting professor or research professor at several prestigious schools such as Harvard Law School, Waseda University Law School, Tübingen University College of Law, and University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School.
