Dutch Day, one of the Global Day events, was held on 6 May at the Global Lounge. The event was sponsored by the Office of International Affairs and Nuffic Neso Korea, with the help of Yonsei Global, a student club for facilitating interaction and communication between international and local students. Jurgen Finsy, a Dutch student from Hogeschool van Amsterdam, introduced his country and educational opportunities. Netherlands is known to Koreans for Guss Hiddink since the 2002 World Cup, and the catchphrase for the event was also ‘the country of Hiddink.’ The event focused on introducing general information and educational opportunities of the Netherlands. Dutch universities with cooperation agreement with Yonsei, such as Leiden University, University of Maastricht, and Hague University were also introduced during the event. Dutch waffles and cheese were offered to students who attended the event. There was also a screening of internationally recognized Dutch movie Links, which was screened in 2008 Pusan International Film Festival.
