Welcome Ceremony of Parents’ College The welcome ceremony of the 2009 Yonsei Parents’ College was held in Allen Hall on March 17. University President Kim Han-joong warmly welcomed 72 parents. “The program will help the parents to feel strongly tied to Yonsei not only as parents but also as students themselves,” for the Parents’ College is a special program designed for the parents (mostly mothers) of new undergraduates. As such, President Kim pointed out that it “will also provide them with a forum to reflect on the common experience of mothering.” A tour of campus with the ‘student ambassadors’ (i.e. the selected student guides) followed the ceremony, and Seo Jung-suk, Vice President for Administration and Development, gave a lecture on ‘History and its Interpretation’ after luncheon.
