Yonsei University and the Samsung Economic Research Institute (SERI) signed an MOU on January 7 regarding the co-management of the Yonsei-SERI EU Center According to the agreement, the two institutions will cooperate in the research, education, and conferences to be held in the new EU Center scheduled to open in May. The EU Center, which is supported by the European Commission in order to facilitate academic activities regarding the EU. The first EU Center in Korea opened in 2006 at Seoul National University. Yonsei and the SERI were designated as an EU Center location in November and will receive a total of one million euros in funding over the next four years.
