On January 6, the dedication ceremony for the new Gwangbok Hall Annex was held. University President Kim Han-Joong gave a congratulatory speech where he said that with the completion of the new building, Yonsei now boasts a legal education complex of international standards. Construction began on the new building in January 2008, which includes a mock courtroom, international conference room, international seminar room, general seminar room, and lecture halls. The mock courtroom can be modified for various types of trials and has a media system which can broadcast, record, and manage trials real-time and allows the courtroom to function as a digital courtroom. The international seminar and conference rooms are equipped with sound and video technology which makes virtual video conferences possible.
